Villa Sur is a newly built, state-of-the-art, designer villa with private pool, completed in 2018.  The villa has plenty of outdoor space and stunning views towards the Mediterranean Sea and the picturesque white village of Salobreña with its impressive Moorish Castle (illuminated at night).  This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility this stunning villa offers.

This south-facing, wonderful villa is designed in an avant-garde style. It is in a quiet street surrounded by nature on El Monte de Los Almendros, an exclusive hillside development in Salobreña on Granada’s tropical coast.

 You will easily recognize the villa even from the outside, when you arrive in front of the futuristic main gates made of metal panels.  This villa has its own personality with ample modern features and the use of raw, natural and refined materials throughout.  Moreover, Villa Sur not only has a high level of energy efficiency, all energy consumed comes from renewable sources; but the garden and orchard are also irrigated by rainwater and a nearby well.

You enter the property either by an elevated walkway or the electric gates entering by car.  There is private and secure parking space for two cars.

From the top floor you can access a huge, raised terrace with wooden pool loungers and comfortable outdoor furniture offering fine views. The terrace can be accessed both from the hall and from the lower terrace by an outside metal staircase.

Walking down the stairs from the entrance level you reach the main floor of the house with its spacious and luminous open-plan living room surrounded by glass sliding doors, so you can make the most of the outdoor space while enjoying breathtaking views to the sea and the spectacular surroundings.  Through these sliding doors you have access to the main terrace and heated swimming pool where you can relax on comfortable terrace furniture and further loungers and enjoy the scenic views. Down the staircase you reach the ground level third floor where 3 bedrooms are located, all suitable for double occupancy, 1 bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and the other 2 bedrooms share a family bathroom with shower.Two of the bedrooms have King-size beds(1.50 m x 1.90 m) and one has twin beds (0.90 x 2.00 m).  The family bathroom with shower is located between the two bedrooms alongside a fantastic and ample built-in wardrobe. 

On the living room level, in a separate building from the villa,  you can find a fourth bedroom with double bed (1.60 m x 2.00 m) with ensuite bathroom, hot and cold air conditioning and ceiling fan, it has also a quiet sitting area outside.

The functional and spotless kitchen is equipped for all your culinary needs. Adjacent to the kitchen is an ample utility room with a washing machine. The villa has both indoor and outdoor dining areas for “al fresco” dinners or warmer meals inside whilst still enjoying the beautiful views. From the terrace of the main floor, you have access via a metal staircase, to the upper terrace with its 6 sun loungers.

Down the staircase you reach the ground level third floor where 3 bedrooms are located, 1 bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower and the other 2 bedrooms share a family bathroom. 

Two of the bedrooms have King-size beds(1.50 m x 1.90 m) and one has twin beds (0.90 x 2.00 m).  The family bathroom with shower is located between the two bedrooms alongside a fantastic and ample built-in wardrobe. 

All these features add another modern touch to the general distribution of this wonderful villa that harmoniously integrates indoor and outdoor living in a harmonious way.

On this level, a terrace is accessible from every bedroom giving the option of additional privacy for relaxing and enjoying the marvelous views. Some further steps lead down to a garden with lawn and an “in progress” ecological orchard built on terraces where you can find a variety of fruit trees including mango, avocado and orange. The terraces surrounding the property and gardens are connected to each other, so you can easily flow from one area to another without hindrance and enjoy the amazing variety of indoor and outdoor spaces this villa offers.

Please be aware that this villa is not suitable for children under 10 years old, because there is a section of the infinity pool that does not have protection against falls. 

The villa has WIFI, and 2 huge Smart TV’s (1.45mx 0.83m / 1.60m x 0.90m). One of the TV is located in the living room, and the other is located in one of the bedrooms on the third floor. Only the TV in the living room has access to Canal + digital, with international channels, movies etc.

The entire villa has hot and cold air-conditioning, which can be controlled separately for each floor, and an additional ceiling fan in every bedroom, for the living room and kitchen area there is one central A/C. 

Villa Sur is located on Monte de los Almendros, one of the best hillside developments on the Costa Tropical.  Guests have complimentary use of the communal tennis court, paddle court, swimming pool, children’s pool, football pitch, playground and snack bar during the summer months. The main Salobreña beaches, restaurants, bars and shops are less than a 10-minute drive away.

Málaga, Granada and Almería airports are all near to the area with direct access by motorway.  If you can manage to pry yourself away from this marvelous villa, you could also explore the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This area is just an hour drive away and there you can enjoy walking, hiking and some of the best skiing in Spain. You can even ski during the morning (from November to April) and relax on the beach or in the infinity pool the same afternoon!  Additionally, the picturesque mountain villages of Las Alpujarras are nearby, as well as the wonderful city of Granada with the Alhambra Palace, and Málaga with the historic city centre and Picasso Museum.

Salobreña enjoys a subtropical microclimate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and an average temperature of over 20 degrees C.  For those interested in sightseeing art, architecture and history, this region offers the best of what Andalusia provides. You will be charmed and overwhelmed by the beauty of this region.  Small, white-washed villages perched on rocky outcrops, tropical nature, sounds of flamenco and of course the richness and variety of the Spanish food and drink.

Vie on the castle, well functioning Aircon, top equipped kitchen

only one parasol for booked 6 people (6 sunbeds) at the pool and none on the top tarrace. Lose latter and tales at the pool, acetic bedrooms, white walls without any decoration

Salobreña

Salobreña, dazzling and white, is situated in the very heart of the Costa Tropical, in the South of Spain. Adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea and only a one hour drive from Malaga International Airport. The landscape is made up of agricultural valleys and rugged mountains which descend abruptly into sea. This creates attractive open beaches and more importantly, beautiful hillside locations for our villas, offering marvelous views of the Mediterranean Sea!

Salobreña’s striking architecture is an impressive sight. Whitewashed houses are scattered across a small mountain, dominated by a beautiful Moorish castle, 110 meters above sea level and beautifully illuminated at night. Salobreña and its beaches are only a ten minute drive away from our villas, and most of our villas do not only have marvelous sea views, but also a georgous view of this little white town.
