Villa La Grande Bleue is a stunning contemporary villa finished in November 2023 located on the higher part of Monte de Los Almendros that offers spectacular views of Salobreña’s enigmatic Moorish castle and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. It has four bedrooms, two doubles and two twins all with en-suite bathrooms, ample outdoor areas and a spectacular, heated infinity pool. The design is modern, and stylish with huge panoramic windows that make the indoor and outdoor spaces merge into one flexible living area. The house is orientated east, south-east meaning you will experience superb sunrises and enjoy the early morning sun in the house whilst avoiding the afternoon heat in summer. The outdoor areas and pool get sun all day long.

Situated at the end of a secluded cul-de-sac, the location offers incredible peace and tranquillity. At street level there is secure off-street parking for three cars. From the minute you arrive you will be struck by the view from the entrance through panoramic windows out across to the castle of Salobreña far below and the sensation of height and space. An outdoor staircase give access from the entrance to a small roof terrace which offers a jaw-dropping 360-degree view and guarantees sun from sunrise to sunset. The top floor is comprised of an impressive entrance gallery above the main living area and two bedrooms. The first bedroom has twin beds (0,90 x 2m) and an ensuite bathroom with double sinks and rain shower. The double bedroom (the size of the bed is 1.80 x 2.00m) on this level is situated on the corner of the house and has floor to ceiling windows on the two outer sides to make the most of the incredible views. You literally feel like the room is floating in the sky and will wake up to a gorgeous view of the sea from the king-size bed. It has a large en-suite bathroom with rain shower and twin sinks. Best of all it offers an exquisite private terrace area where you can relax in peace.

An open staircase leads down to the main living area which is open-plan, convivial, bright and voluminous. The kitchen area has a large island with integrated hob, sink, dishwasher and ample cupboards and you can enjoy a gorgeous view out to the beach and sea to be as you prepare delicious local produce. It is equipped with an enormous American refrigerator/freezer, an oven and microwave and comes with all the cooking utensils you could possibly require. Adjacent is a utility room with a washing machine and dryer.  A large dining table for eight people separates the kitchen area from the main living room which has 5m-high ceilings and offers beautiful views to Salobreña castle and the mountains. It has two big sofas and a huge Smart TV with international channels should you tire of the views. The entire kitchen and living room area have floor to ceiling panoramic windows which open directly onto the pool terrace providing seamless movement between the indoor and outdoor living areas.

A door separates the living area from a third bedroom with twin beds (0.90 x 2.00m)  and panoramic sliding windows giving direct access to the pool terrace. It has a naturally lit bathroom with rain shower and double sinks. A second double bedroom (size of the bed is 1.80 x 2.00m) occupies the corner of the house with huge windows on the outer sides. It has a large, natural-lit bathroom with a bathtub, Italian rain shower and double sinks, a king-size bed and panoramic windows on two-sides offering direct access to the pool terrace. There is a small guest toilet between the two bedrooms.

The outdoor area on this level offers a large terrace around the beautiful 10 x 4m infinity pool with solar cover. There is ample outdoor furniture, sun loungers for eight and there are large, mechanised blinds above the kitchen and living room windows. It is the perfect spot to spend your days enjoying the divine views and relaxing or to dine al fresco at night gazing at the illuminated castle from the outdoor dining table.

Every room in the villa has individual, integrated air-conditioning that can be controlled via a simple wall unit, ample integrated wardrobes, curtains and black-out curtains and there is fast, fibre WiFi throughout the house. Due to the disposition of the bedrooms on two floors, Villa La Grande Bleue is ideally suited to two small families or groups of friends. Villa La Grande Bleue is approximately one kilometre from the community recreational facilities that guests can use free of charge. There is a large swimming pool, a bar with snacks in summer, a children's pool, tennis court (with floodlights), football pitch and basketball hoop. Further down the hill there is also a floodlit paddle tennis court. Monte de Los Almendros is one of the most exclusive enclaves on the Costa Tropical and offers a serene environment in which to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

The small, traditional fishing village of La Caleta is 3 kilometres away and offers authentic bars serving traditional tapas and access to some secluded beaches and coves. The centre of Salobreña with its shops, supermarkets and wide variety of bars is a ten-minute drive and the main beach area is a few minutes further offering a great variety of beach restaurants and bars.

Whatever the time of year, the Costa Tropical offers unrivalled hours of sunshine, good weather and an average annual temperature over 20 degrees Celsius. The area is famed for its sub-tropical crops of mangos, avocados, loquats and custard apples and has a rich, unique gastronomy based around fresh, local produce from the land and the sea.

There are innumerable day-trip possibilities close by from the orange and olive groves of Lecrin valley, to the stunning Alpujarras, the southern slope of Sierra Nevada, with excellent hiking among timeless, whitewashed villages. The ski resort of Pradollano is a ninety-minute drive and you can even ski in season in the morning and relax in your pool the same day! The culturally fascinating cities of Granada and Málaga are reachable in less than an hour offering the possibility to visit incredible monuments such as the Alhmabra, Gibralfaro castle and stunning cathedrals and historic centres in both cities. For beach lovers this more undeveloped stretch of coast offers some pristine, secluded locations and excellent possibilities for water sports and adventure tourism.

Salobreña

Salobreña, dazzling and white, is situated in the very heart of the Costa Tropical, in the South of Spain. Adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea and only a one hour drive from Malaga International Airport. The landscape is made up of agricultural valleys and rugged mountains which descend abruptly into sea. This creates attractive open beaches and more importantly, beautiful hillside locations for our villas, offering marvelous views of the Mediterranean Sea!

Salobreña’s striking architecture is an impressive sight. Whitewashed houses are scattered across a small mountain, dominated by a beautiful Moorish castle, 110 meters above sea level and beautifully illuminated at night. Salobreña and its beaches are only a ten minute drive away from our villas, and most of our villas do not only have marvelous sea views, but also a georgous view of this little white town.

  • October 1st to April 30th: 175 euros per week
  • May 1st to September 30th: 125 euros per week
