Villa Estrella is a charming and airy villa where you can enjoy the peace and light that this part of Andalusia offers you. This villa is decorated to a high standard and combines traditional with modern fixtures and fittings. The result is a blending of typical Spanish architecture with a modern twist.

Villa Estrella has four bedrooms, all of them for double occupancy with fitted wardrobes. There is also a sofa bed for single occupancy, so it can accommodate up to nine guests. It is a house to enjoy inside and outside, with awesome views to the Mediterranean Sea, mountains and the inspiring town of Salobrena with its remarkable Moorish Castle.

At road level, outside the gate, there is an outdoor parking space for two cars. When entering the pedestrian gate, you immediately see Jasmine plants at both sides of the main door. But before going inside, let´s have a look to the terrace on the right hand side. There is a covered sitting area with a large table and eight comfortable seats for enjoying a nice breakfast or meal, maybe roasted on the gas barbecue the house offers. Next to them, there is a sofa, armchairs and coffee table, where you will be able to relax and have a nice conversation while enjoying the Jasmine fragrance surrounding you in the evenings. Not only will you be impressed by the breathtaking views, but you will definitely enjoy hours of relaxation in this terrace.

We enter the house by the front door, although the dining room and kitchen area has direct access to the terrace we have seen before. Inside you will find an open space where the lounge, living room and kitchen are. The large windows and glass doors allows the room to be filled up with light. On the lounge area, there are two sofas and other seats close to the wood fireplace for those winter cozy evenings. If you have been skiing in Sierra Nevada, it could be a very nice end of the day. You will also have a TV with international channels, CD player, books in different languages, guides of the area, magazines, puzzles, card games and other table games for your entertainment. As well as wireless internet access. Right behind the sitting area, a large dining table with chairs is placed and next to this zone, a bar with two stools shows you to the classic design and yet fully equipped kitchen. By the dining table, a corner window with astonishing views completes this nice and charming area. You will see there are two heating panels on the ceiling, these are to assure you a maximum comfort inside the house throughout the winter. There are insect screens in windows and doors in all rooms of the house, so you can leave everything open and enjoy the fresh breeze without thinking about being bothered by mosquitoes when it gets warm. Thanks to its design, it is possible to enjoy the fantastic view and surroundings both from the outside and inside of the house.

On this same level, there is a toilet room and a master bedroom. The master bedroom has a fitted wardrobe, two twin bed joined together, so they make a double bed, and a full in suite bathroom with bathtub, bidet and double sink. This master bedroom is also equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan. If you wish to contemplate the stars before going to bed or the sunrise right when you get up in the morning , this bedroom exits to a small terrace, only accessible through this room.

From this entrance level we take the stairs that lead us down to a lower floor where there are three further bedrooms. One of them it is set up as a suite, with an in suite bathroom with rain effect shower, two twin beds joined together, so they make a double bed, air conditioning, a sofa bed for single use, and a cooler fridge. Continuing the tour, we find two other bedrooms for double occupancy. One of them has a double bed and the other one two twin beds joined together and ceiling fun. As the rest of bedrooms, both have fitted wardrobes and air conditioning. There is a large family bathroom with shower which completes the inside layout. A nice garden with lemon trees finishes the tour downstairs. Comfortable wickerwork seats and table invite you to sit down in this little piece of paradise and unwind, maybe while reading one of the books, guides or magazines from the shelf in the living room upstairs. Maybe by just being here when you contemplate the beautiful views.

There is direct access to the garden through all rooms downstairs, and at the same time, outdoor stairs takes you to the upper terrace, so you can flow easily between the different house levels, either by the inside or outside. But between the upper terrace and the garden, there is a second terrace with a large heated pool (3,5 m x 6,5 m), comfortable sun beds, sun umbrellas and an outside shower. There is plenty of space for children to play and adults to surely spend very pleasant moments. 

Villa Estrella is located on the very nice hillside urbanization Monte de los Almendros. The recreational area of this urbanization is on walking distance. Guests have complimentary use of the communal tennis court, paddle court, swimming pool, children’s pool, football pitch and playground and a snack bar during the summer months. 

The beach, restaurants and shops are less than a 10 minute drive away. There is an easy access to Malaga, Granada or Almeria airport. If you can manage yourself away from this marvelous villa, there are lots of things to see and to do: the ski area of the Sierra Nevada where you can also enjoy great walking and hiking is less than 75 minutes away, so you can ski during the morning (from November to April) and relax on the beach or at the pool in the afternoon. The picturesque mountain villages of Las Alpujarras are nearby as well as the wonderful cities of Granada with the Alhambra Palaces and Malaga with the historic downtown and the Picasso museum. 

Salobreña benefits from the subtropical microclimate with over 300 days of sunshine a year and average temperature of over 20 degrees C. For those interested in sightseeing art, architecture and history this region offers the best of what Andalusia provides. You will be charmed and overwhelmed by the beauty of the region. Small white washed villages on the top of the hills, tropical nature, sounds of flamenco and of course the richness and variety of the Spanish food.

El sitio muy tranquilo, bien cuidado, gente super agradable, y el clima fantastico.

No hay ninguna objeción, salvo que a nuestro parecer se deberia de poner una cortina fuera para poder desayunar por las mañanas sin tener que preocuparnos del sol. por lo demas todo muy muy bien.

Villa was really homely. Furniture great and kitchen very well equipped. Loved sitting relaxing on the terrace and the locked gate to the pool was excellent for young children. A fantastic location and wonderful views. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. Great beds and bed linens and loads of towels.

Nothing, was fantastic. Only small thing was the steps from pool to bedrooms downstairs were slippy and no hand rails.

Salobreña

Salobreña, dazzling and white, is situated in the very heart of the Costa Tropical, in the South of Spain. Adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea and only a one hour drive from Malaga International Airport. The landscape is made up of agricultural valleys and rugged mountains which descend abruptly into sea. This creates attractive open beaches and more importantly, beautiful hillside locations for our villas, offering marvelous views of the Mediterranean Sea!

Salobreña’s striking architecture is an impressive sight. Whitewashed houses are scattered across a small mountain, dominated by a beautiful Moorish castle, 110 meters above sea level and beautifully illuminated at night. Salobreña and its beaches are only a ten minute drive away from our villas, and most of our villas do not only have marvelous sea views, but also a georgous view of this little white town.

  • There is a 1% surcharge for debit and credit card payments.
  • The transaction costs, which the bank charges for transactions from non-EU countries, are passed on to the customer.
  • Rates are for up to 8 people. 50 euro supplement per week for each additional guest. 
  • Electricity of the villa is included.
  • Pool heating is optional and will be charged separately.
  • The costs for pool heating up to 28 degrees are:

October 1st to April 30th: 175 euros per week

May 1st to September 30th: 125 euros per week

The costs for heating from 28 degrees are 25 euros per degree per week
