This is a brand new, contemporary style villa that has a wonderful modern design. It belongs in the pages of Architectural Digest. The villa has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a guest toilet. The house can sleep 6 in total not counting children that sleep in cots. The house has an infinity pool 10 meters long by 4.5 meters wide. The infinity pool has black mosaic tile so the colour of the water blends with the sea. The effect is amazing. The pool has an automatic cover that is solar so the cover can heat the pool on its own. Not only is this good for the environment, it is also good for one´s economy as there is no extra cost to heat the pool. There is however a heat pump as a back up, so that a temperature of up to 30 degrees can be guaranteed, if you would like more than just the heating received from the solar cover. The pool has built-in steps and is illuminated as well.

The layout of the house is as follows. At road level there is off road parking for several cars. There is one area that is open and another area that is secure and behind a gate. As you enter the villa, you will be awe struck by the views of the sea, the mountains, which are snow covered part of the year, and the Moorish castle of Salobrena that is illuminated at night. It is like a post card. You can´t ask for a more stunning and interesting view both by day and by night. The spacious main bedroom is on the entrance level. It has a sitting area with 2 comfortable arm chairs and a TV and a DVD. Off of the main bedroom is a private, covered porch, which is the ideal place to enjoy your morning coffee and the sunshine as you take in the lovely views. There is comfortable outdoor furniture for your use. There is an en suite bathroom with double sinks and a good sized bathtub and a walk in wardrobe. 

Steps lead down from the entry level to the main level of the villa, where you will find the open plan living area. This open plan living area features double height ceilings with double height windows so you can enjoy the views over the infinity pool to the sea and the mountains. You can even enjoy the blue skies that Andalucia is famous for from inside the villa. Make sure you bring your sun glasses as you can make use of them even when you are inside. There is a wood burner in the living area as well to keep you warm on the occasional cool, winter evenings. The kitchen is modern and features an island and is fully equipped. Of course, there is a dishwasher as well as no one wants to spend their holiday washing up! Since the layout is open plan you can be part of the action while cooking. The living area opens onto the pool terrace so you can move seamlessly from inside to outside. 

There are 2 more bedrooms on this main level of the villa. One has a double bed (160 centimeter) and the other has 2 twin beds. Both bedrooms have direct access to the pool terrace and as a result can enjoy the great views and light from inside. Don´t worry there are electric shutters so you can make the room dark to sleep comfortably. There is a family bathroom for use of both of these bedrooms with a large, walk-in shower and double sinks. There is also a guest toilet.

There is plenty of space on the pool terrace to enjoy the sunshine, the views and al fresco meals. There are 6 sun beds, an outdoor sofa and chairs and a dining table. There is a gas barbeque at the villa as well for your use and enjoyment. There is a zen garden that is in keeping with the contemporary design of the villa.

The house has central hot and cold air conditioning so your comfort is guaranteed year round. The beach, restaurants and shops are less than 10 minutes away by car. Guests of this villa have complimentary, unlimited use of the well maintained communal pool, children´s pool, tennis court, paddle court, playground and football pitch. There is a kiosk there, open part of the year, where you can purchase drinks and snacks. There are a variety of picturesque coastal towns nearby that are well worth visiting. The wonderful city of Granada with the UNESCO world heritage area of the Albaycin and the Alhambra Palace are less than 50 minutes away. The ski slopes of Sierra Nevada are 1 hour and 15 minutes away so you can ski in the morning and relax on the beach or in the heated (via the solar cover) infinity pool in the afternoon. Malaga is also nearby and is well worth visiting with its great climate, museums, shops and restaurants.

Malaika vacation

Malaika is a clean and luxuruous villa. Lot´s of space. Heated pool is very nice.

Villa was very far from all restaurants - one could not reach any places walking. Car is needed for all moving

Villa Malaika is located in an urbanization on the top of the Almond Hill with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding distant surroundings. The urbanization has a recreation area including a swimming pool and tennis court and a simple restaurant. This facility is open from May to October. The restaurants and cafes are a 10-minute drive from the villa and can be found at the foot of Almond Hill, on the beach and in the nearby villages. It is indeed a requirement to have a car to easily reach these locations. We hope the distance has not been an obstacle for you to enjoy Spanish cuisine.

Das große Schlafzimmer. Die saubere und perfekt ausgestattete Küche mit den notwendigsten Lebensmittel für den ersten Tag. Der beheizte große Pool. Super Aussicht. Tolles Ambiente. Gute Betreuung durch die Agentur.

Am Pool waren schon ein paar Fliesen abgebrochen. Im Winter war schon vor 16.00 Schatten.

Malaika is a beautiful villa with wonderful views. It is extremely comfortable and furnished to a very high standard. The pool is a great size and the thermal cover is an added bonus. Two days rain only, rest all blue sky, white clouds. Chilly mornings, warm pm's. Recommend Casa Emilio on the beach for lovely lunches. Penon also good. Drive to Alpujarras - Orgiva & Pampaneira. Well worth the effort. Recommend Casa Diego for a bite. Good "local" walks, especially the Camino Canal. All staff very friendly and totally efficient. So just ask if you need anything.

Salobreña, dazzling and white, is situated in the very heart of the Costa Tropical, in the South of Spain. Adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea and only a one hour drive from Malaga International Airport. The landscape is made up of agricultural valleys and rugged mountains which descend abruptly into sea. This creates attractive open beaches and more importantly, beautiful hillside locations for our villas, offering marvelous views of the Mediterranean Sea!

Salobreña’s striking architecture is an impressive sight. Whitewashed houses are scattered across a small mountain, dominated by a beautiful Moorish castle, 110 meters above sea level and beautifully illuminated at night. Salobreña and its beaches are only a ten minute drive away from our villas, and most of our villas do not only have marvelous sea views, but also a georgous view of this little white town.


Changeover day: FRIDAY (In low season depending on booking calendar.)

  • Payment due in euros
  • 30% deposit required upon booking
  • Payment possible in cash or by bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard.
  • The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival or in cash upon arrival, if a credit card guarantee is provided 8 weeks in advance.
  • A security deposit of 500 euros is payable on arrival via credit card. 
  • There is a 1% surcharge for debit and credit card payments.
  • The transaction costs, which the bank charges for transactions from non-EU countries, are passed on to the customer.
  • Rates are for up to 6 people. 50 euro supplement per week for each additional guest. 
  • Electricity of the villa is included.
  • Pool heating is optional and will be charged separately.
  • The costs for pool heating up to 28 degrees are:

October 1st to April 30th: 175 euros per week

May 1st to September 30th: 125 euros per week

The costs for heating from 28 degrees are 25 euros per degree per week
